Collection: FW26 // Common Grind

This collaboration with Design, Build, Skate @ the Lutz Center and The Art of Skateboarding @ Clemente High School began with teens in the program wanting to create a “a love letter to skating” - but the final product goes even deeper than that.

“Common Grind” is a play on ‘common ground’, referencing the sense of belonging that skate culture offers young skaters as they support one another on their journey of pushing themselves to learn difficult tricks- the “grind”. (Sometimes literally grinding rails/ledges!)

While the collection was created by young skaters and with skaters in mind, it can be worn by anyone who believes in the importance of community and shared spaces. Skaters have driven the creation of third spaces, created new pathways into the arts, public advocacy, and entreprenuership, and fostered an inclusive community that ASM is proud be apart of.
